E-glass Plain Weave

Woven E-Glass fabrics are ideal for building composite laminates and repairing fibreglass structures. They are also used to provide an abrasion-resistant covering for wooden boats and other timber structures. When wet-out, plain weaves become almost transparent, allowing a clear, natural wood finish.

Note: When laminated with epoxy, the fibreglass still needs to be painted, clear finished with a clear 2-pack paint, or varnished to provide UV resistance

200 gram and 290 gram plain weaves, which are the most popular weights for the timber boat- building market and perfect for strip planked canoe.
